Your Ally for Flu and Seasonal Infections

Echinacea is one of the most effective plants for strengthening the immune system. It became known worldwide thanks to its first discovery and use by Native American tribes of North America. Traditionally, Native Americans consumed this plant, especially during harsh winter periods, to endure severe weather conditions.

Echinacea, known for boosting immune resistance and fighting winter infections, began to be used around the world for flu and the common cold. Research shows that echinacea supports the immune system and therefore increases the body’s overall resistance. It has been demonstrated that echinacea increases white blood cell (leukocyte) activity, enhances infection-fighting capabilities, and helps destroy bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other harmful microorganisms.

Echinacea supports the reproduction of T-cells, the backbone of the immune system.

When used as a gargle or mouth rinse, it is known to help heal mouth sores and fight bacterial and fungal infections. It strengthens resistance against infections such as upper respiratory tract infections, and it is used as supportive therapy in cases such as rheumatism and arthritis.

By preventing microorganisms from spreading through the body, it helps accelerate recovery.
It is beneficial for skin problems such as insect bites, infected wounds, psoriasis, acne, and eczema, supporting tissue healing. Its anti-inflammatory effect is known to help reduce joint inflammation, and it may provide benefits in cases of lymph node swelling by supporting interferon production.

Many studies have examined echinacea, especially for its effects on supporting the immune system. It stimulates the production of white blood cells and enhances immune resistance. It has strong antibacterial and antiviral properties.

It has been proven effective against:

  • Common cold, flu, herpes, sinusitis, nasal congestion, respiratory disorders

  • Anti-inflammatory effects: eczema, burns, wounds, infections, psoriasis, acne, ulcers, cold sores, etc.

Echinacea is particularly successful in cases of mild infections and cold symptoms.
Swedish clinical studies show that echinacea extract reduces the number and severity of cold symptoms. In studies, echinacea nasal spray was shown to reduce the markers of inflammation.

Long-term use has been linked to protection against chronic bronchitis and sinusitis. It is also noted to be beneficial for ear and throat infections.

Another study found that echinacea protects healthy tissue by preventing destructive interactions between pathogens and hyaluronidase enzymes, which break down the body’s natural protective barriers. Therefore, it helps protect the immune system against viruses.

WARNING:

Echinacea should not be used in advanced immune system disorders or autoimmune diseases.
