ARTICHOKE LEAF
(Cynara Scolymus)
Active Ingredients Contained
Inulin, Cynarin, Tannin, Cynaropicrin, Calcium, Iron, Potassium, Minerals
Your Liver’s Best Friend
Artichoke is one of the most important plants known for reducing fatigue and damage to the liver, especially caused by alcohol and chemical drug consumption. It strengthens liver function (hepatotonic), protects the liver (anti-hepatotoxic, hepatoprotective), supports the gastrointestinal system, stimulates liver functions (hepatostimulant), and has lipid-lowering effects.
Its stimulating effect increases bile secretion (choleretic effect) and ensures that bile acids are discharged into the intestines (cholagogue effect). It has been found to reduce liver degeneration and accelerate blood flow in the liver. This effect quickly eliminates dyspeptic symptoms (pain, nausea, belching, abdominal bloating). It is recommended especially for patients with Chronic Hepatitis B and C.
Artichoke also softens the intestinal walls, acting as a mild diuretic. Thanks to this property it provides good intestinal detox. It removes toxins accumulated in the intestines and supports the body’s cleansing process. It is a mild laxative. By preventing accumulation in the intestines, it supports regular digestion and prevents constipation.
The Digestive System
Its function in the digestive system is very important. Chemical substances, environmental toxins, artificial food additives, and many harmful agents can burden our metabolism. The active compounds in artichoke help remove toxic substances accumulated in the liver. Thanks to increased bile secretion, it stimulates the liver and reduces ammonia levels in the blood.
Blood Sugar Balance
Another common use of artichoke leaf is for balancing sugar levels, due to the active compounds cynarin and inulin. It is a very important plant used for daily detox and is frequently preferred for this purpose.
Studies conducted at Italy’s Parma University on liver diseases show that artichoke leaf, widely used in traditional medicine for years, has cholesterol-lowering and liver-protective effects.
Conclusion
Because it is known as a detoxifying plant for the liver, artichoke is one of the most well-known and widely used medicinal plants.

MILK THISTLE SEED
(Silybum Marianum)
Active Ingredients Contained
Silymarin, Quercetin, Taxifolin, Fixed Oils, Albumin, Mucilage, Bioflavonoids, Trace Elements
Your Liver / Gallbladder’s Best Friend
Milk thistle is the most beneficial seed used in modern medicine for liver diseases.
Milk thistle has shown significant healing support in the treatment of patients suffering from cirrhosis, alcohol-induced liver damage, and hepatitis.
In fact, milk thistle is highly effective in reducing the toxicity of all kinds of substances in the liver.
German researchers have found that milk thistle is particularly effective in treating toxic liver damage caused by the poisonous mushroom Amanita phalloides.
Liver-Protective Properties
Milk thistle contains a complex of liver-protective active compounds formed by flavonolignans. Its main compounds — taxifolin, quercetin, fixed oil, albumin, and mucilage — offer broad protection for the liver and provide a strong regenerative (tissue-renewing) effect, especially for the very common problem of fatty liver.
Liver diseases have become increasingly widespread today. Along with jaundice, acute hepatitis (inflamed liver) has practically become one of the most common illnesses of our time. Overeating and excessive alcohol consumption weaken the overall functioning of the liver and lead to fatty liver.
For this reason, milk thistle seeds have become one of the most preferred and effective herbal remedies with specific (targeted) effects. Milk thistle’s active compound silymarin, is water-insoluble, which is why tea made from it cannot provide an effective solution.
Silymarin
Silymarin — the main active compound of the plant — has been shown to be extremely effective in regenerating liver tissue, even at high doses.
In the 1970s, scientists at the University of Munich extracted pharmacologically beneficial substances from Milk Thistle for the liver and identified them as powerful agents against liver toxins, confirming the plant’s medicinal value.
Gallbladder Flow & Kidney Stones
Milk thistle aids bile flow and helps both prevent and treat gallstones. Its antioxidant properties strengthen cell membranes and stabilize them.
Because of its silymarin content, milk thistle helps prevent breast cancer. It is also effective in preventing and slowing the spread of inflammatory conditions. In laboratory studies, mast cell activation syndrome was shown to be reduced by silymarin.
Furthermore, silymarin has shown antitumor properties and has been observed to prevent prostate cancer. Surface-level laboratory studies have also indicated its potential effectiveness against a type of skin cancer known as squamous cell carcinoma.

DANDELION LEAF
(Cichorium Endivia)
Active Ingredients Contained
Resin, Phosphorus, Iron, Protein, B & C Vitamins, Calcium, Niacin, Essential Oils
Your Liver’s Best Friend
Studies at the New Delhi College of Pharmacy have shown that dandelion has an anti-hepatotoxic (liver-protective) effect on liver cells damaged by toxins, and that it regulates liver enzyme levels back to normal.
The oxidative stress triggered by nitrosamines is significantly reduced through dandelion’s antioxidant effects.
Dandelion applications improve metabolic functions and liver activity by reducing total fat, cholesterol, and triglycerides and increasing antioxidant enzyme activity. These findings show that dandelion provides strong liver protection.
Dandelion root extract, Lactucin, and Lactucopicrin have been reported to show antimicrobial (immune-supporting) effects. Under laboratory light, the parasite Plasmodium falciparum (the cause of malaria) is known to be disrupted by dandelion.
Cancer Research Findings
According to studies done at Windsor University, dandelion root extract has been observed to support immune system function and shows promising results in leukemia treatment.
A study performed in South Korea at Wonkwang University examined whether dandelion’s antioxidant system is able to remove toxic substances formed in the digestive system.
Results showed that the immune system became stronger, and leukocyte (white blood cell) production increased.
This supports the view that the digestive system’s toxin removal function is enhanced, helping prevent chronic liver damage.
Additionally, dandelion was shown to reduce the body’s overreaction to allergens by lowering mast cell activation; thus, no allergic reactions were observed in the tested subjects.
Laboratory studies also demonstrated that dandelion increases DNA repair capacity, which helps prevent free-radical-induced damage.
Kidneys, Liver & Detoxification
Dandelion supports kidney and liver functions, making it useful in urinary disorders and digestive disturbances.
It is recommended for liver and gallbladder disorders.
It is beneficial for conditions such as rheumatism, gout, and urinary tract diseases due to its blood-purifying effect.
It helps cleanse toxins and acts as a natural detoxifier.
Gallstones & Digestive Health
Dandelion helps prevent the formation of gallstones and supports their dissolution.
It increases bile flow and supports digestive comfort.
It also has positive effects on stomach ulcers and liver diseases.
It is beneficial for Type 1 diabetes.
Its use is recommended for chronic hepatitis B patients.
It is useful for constipation, gas, yeast-related issues, and skin disorders.
It is known to help with stubborn constipation and chronic intestinal disorders.
